ANISH KAPOOR AND THE JEWISH MUSEUM: MY RED HOMELAND

Dinner for 100 special guests dedicated to the famous artist

It was the first time that the Jewish Museum brought four signature works of the famous British sculptor to Russia. We organized a social function to mark this significant event in the artistic and cultural life of the country.
The 6th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art featured the exposition by Anish Kapoor "My Red Homeland." Over 2,000 people were invited to attend the opening of the exposition the Tolerance Centre. Pasha Vardishvili, the social editor of Interview magazine, wrote that many people would have sold their souls just to be able to attend this private dinner party, organized by the founder of the Jewish Museum Alexander Boroda.
colleagues from a large communication agency were in charge of the presentation on the museum premises. We produced the second one — the private part of the event. This time, our job was not to amaze, provoke or stir guests' emotions. We were expected to create a stylish event, with impeccable service and a classy well-balanced program — an exemplary social function.

We chose the Metropol hotel as the venue for the gala dinner. The location, the facades and the modern interior of the building were in line with the high level of the event. In order to create a connection between the historic image of the hotel with the theme of the event, we designed a few light- and mirror installations. This helped us create futuristic photo and lounge zones. Together with a team of mixologists, we created a cocktail menu to give our event a unique and memorable taste. The famous musician Andrey Makarevich and his band took care of the mood of the event with their program "Yiddish jazz".

The Jewish Museum invited 100 guests to their dinner. Apart from fans of Anish Kapoor's art, art critics, well-known collectors and curators, one could meet a lot of celebrities and modern art lovers: Olga Sviblova, Anton Belov, Fyodor Bondarchuk, Ingeborga Dapkunaite, Vladimir Pozner, Aliona Doletskaya, Kseniya Rappoport, Olga Slutsker, Irina Khakamada, Olga Zakharova, Gor Nakhapetyan.
Anish Kapoor is a legend. We were really lucky to have this opportunity to pay homage to the maestro and organize an elegant social function. This project gave our team an opportunity to show our capability to create events on the highest level, not overdoing it and not making an unnecessary show, at the same time maintaining high standards in everything: from greeting guests and registering them for the event, to the seating plan and the entertainment.
